I recently got a request for a Pug, so here goes with what is currently available:
Kahuna the Zen Pug by Shree.
Jit Gurung of Munal Arts in Pokhara.
This pug by Mohan Arts in the Tripureshwor district is painted from a Nepali pug featured in the Everest Kennel Club Calendar.
Foo is another Nepali pug, living in Boudha. By Amar Shrestha.
Sophie, a popular pug at Bergamot Station, on her Mercedes Benz. By Hari Prasad.
A very odd pug (Sophie again) 'pented' by Amar.
Mo the Pug by Nepal Arts, again from the Tripureshwor district of Kathmandu.
Queenie the Pug by Jit Gurung of Munal Arts in Pokhara, Nepal.
All of these signboards are synthetic enamel on metal and are about one square foot. They all are by Nepali signboard artists whose work is quickly being replaced by digital art. Hand-painted, they were all commissioned by me as part of my Fair Trade Art Project - the Danger Dogs from Nepal.
They are also all available at this time with prices ranging from $130 to $170.
Micro-finance through Art Patronage!
I'm going back to Nepal to commission more pieces this October and can give pictures of your pets to these artists and see what they come up with. You will get at least 3 choices of your pet's portrait, and you pay nothing until you choose which piece you prefer. The artists get paid in any case.
