Why I Love Nepal: Mannequins

Danger Dogs at the Venice Art Crawl

The Hotel Erwin featured the Danger Dogs last Thursday night as part of the 5th Venice Art Crawl.

The Dogs were in a Christmas mood, as art patrons wandered in and out of the Pop Up Gift Shop at the Hotel Erwin Hash in the forecourt of the Hotel.  Two Danger Dogs came by and saw their own portraits: Pinky - Larry Bell's Dog and Inga, the world's meanest Chihuahua.   Inga's owner wanted you to know that she is now on Xanax, waiting for the puppy Prozac to kick in, and that the anti-anxiety drugs are starting to work.   At about 5 pounds, she is so tiny, her dose must be smaller than a grain of sand.

It was a novel way for me to hang the Danger Dogs on the chain curtains.   In the foreground are custom Beastie Bak Converse sneakers designed with images of the Beastie Boys and hand signed by the photographer Sunny Bak.

Above are the Danger Dogs mixed with prints from Isabella Alford-Lago (on the table in the foreground).

If you missed the Dogs this month, the Venice Art Crawl is held monthly on the third Thursday of the month.   The next Venice Art Crawl is on Thursday, January 20, 2011.

Please stay tuned for more information about the Danger Dogs at January's Crawl.   I'll announce the location here closer to the event.

Hope everyone has a Holiday Season no matter what you celebrate.
