Live from Nepal: Delicious Food!

Though not technically Nepali food, this tasty wood-fired pizza is from Cafe Concerto, our favorite restaurant in all of Nepal.   A Nepali man married an Italian woman who taught him to cook absolutely great food.  It is near the Royal Palace in Lakeside, Pokhara.

Pardon me, but I can never remember to take a photo of my food until I have already started it!   It is wonderful to dig into a nice hot Paneer Tika:  marinated cheese skewered with tomatoes, red onions and green peppers cooked in a Tandoori oven and served with freshly made cilantro sauce.   The Tridevi Fast Food restaurant is a treat.

The side dishes of Channa Masala (chickpeas with a masala sauce) and the fresh Aloo Ghobi (a dry potato and cauliflower curry) and some freshly cooked tandoori rotis (bread) complete the meal.

Also at the Tridevi, another shot of another whole meal:  Paneer Butter Masala, Palak Paneer and the above-mentioned Paneer Tika.   Paneer times three!

The Royal Tandoor is located just across the street from the Boudha Gate, down a little alleyway.   This is a lively joint, filled with young Nepali couples on a date, family dinners, and friends  night out.

Again, a Danger Dog signboard that is on its last legs.   I'm glad that I insist my artists do a good prep and use good metal!

Now is the time to order your very own custom Nepal Art Dog sign.

Please check out the Nepal Dog YouTube Channel:

for more cool examples of the Danger Dog Art Project.

You will be happy you did!

Stay tuned.   More tomorrow.

Now is the time to order:   Be ahead of the Pack!

I am back in Nepal for the 9th Danger Dog trip and am accepting commissions now.   I'll be back to the states in early June, just in time for Father's Day presents.

To order, please send me a photo of your pet.   I will give it to three different artists, giving you a choice of paintings and three people will get work.   Each painting is about one square foot and is on metal with synthetic enamel paint.   These can be hung indoors or out, be framed or unframed.

Satisfaction is guaranteed as I accept no money up front.   If you do not like one of the three, you pay nothing, and the 3 artists are paid in full in any case.   Let me know what you want it to say and that's it!

Send your photo to or find out more at

Let's keep these artists painting.
