Live from Nepal: Dramatic weather in Pokhara

As everywhere, the climate is unusual here in Nepal.   In Pokhara, they are getting rain most afternoons, not normal for this time of year.   It is welcome, however.   Nepal needs the water!

Brooding clouds hover over the whitecapped Annapurna Mountain range.

Clouds, wind, thunder and lightning.   All from just outside our room.

Birds fly, bananas and corn grow, and those spectacular mountains are a dramatic backdrop to the calm backstreets of Pokhara.

Again, a photo taken from the roof of the Green Tara Hotel in Pokhara.   I did not even notice the rainbow when I took the shot.   I was focused on the great beauty all around.

Now is the time to order:   Be ahead of the Pack!

I am back in Nepal for the 9th Danger Dog trip and am accepting commissions now.   I'll be back to the states in early June, just in time for Father's Day presents.

To order, please send me a photo of your pet.   I will give it to three different artists, giving you a choice of paintings and three people will get work.   Each painting is about one square foot and is on metal with synthetic enamel paint.   These can be hung indoors or out, be framed or unframed.

Satisfaction is guaranteed as I accept no money up front.   If you do not like one of the three, you pay nothing, and the 3 artists are paid in full in any case.   Let me know what you want it to say and that's it!

Send your photo to or find out more at

Let's keep these artists painting.
