Pokhara Hotels: The Green Tara and beyond.

This photo was taken from my bed!   The untimate 'bed view'!  I opened my screen this morning and stuck my camera on the windowsill to steady it and this was the result.   Nice, huh?

While walking the back streets of Pokhara, it is not hard to find many places anyone would want to stay.   At about $10 US per night, these gems with pink marble staircases and terrazzo hallways are lovely.

The Green Tara is spotlessly clean and well run by the Giri family.   Detailed moldings line the ceiling, plants dot the hallways, floors and bannisters shine.

That's the door to my room on the far left.   There are more solar panels on the roof of my room as well.  The rooftop views of a Pokhara hotel are hard to beat.

The United Hotel (right next door to Green Tara) was our home in Pokhara for many years until Mr. Giri moved to the Green Tara.   The United is also a very nice, quiet, clean hotel.

Who wouldn't want to be greeted by Hanuman as you return to your hotel each night?

This is the forecourt of the Hotel Moonland.   Who could ask for more?

Hotels offer everything from yoga on the rooftop to room service.   You cannot beat the price.   The Green Tara is considered 'mid-range' in the Lonely Planet.   I give it the highest marks for service, cleanliness and price.   And remember that first photo in the post.   Taken from my bed!

Yuki the Shiba Ino by Shree Lamachhaine.  Your pet can be immortalized on metal by struggling Nepali signboard artists.   Find out how below.

Please check out the Nepal Dog YouTube Channel:   http://www.youtube.com/user/NepalDog

You will be happy you did!

Stay tuned.   More tomorrow.

Now is the time to order:   Be ahead of the Pack!

I am back in Nepal for the 9th Danger Dog trip and am accepting commissions now.   I'll be back to the states in early June, just in time for Father's Day presents.

HOW TO ORDER

To order, please send me a photo of your pet.   I will give it to three different artists, giving you a choice of paintings and three people will get work.   Each painting is about one square foot and is on metal with synthetic enamel paint.   These can be hung indoors or out, be framed or unframed.

Satisfaction is guaranteed as I accept no money up front.   If you do not like one of the three, you pay nothing, and the 3 artists are paid in full in any case.   Let me know what you want it to say and that's it!

Send your photo to ampage1@gmail.com or find out more at www.NepalDog.com.

Let's keep these artists painting.
