My Kathmandu kitchin is filling up with delightful Danger Dogs.
As you can see, Obi, the Jedi Poodle, is well represented in her portraits by Sagar, Suf and Megh Raj. Tina, the French Bulldog, by Sufraj and Gary, the French Bulldog, by Megh Raj is peeking out from the corner in the top row.
Second row includes Nacho by Megh Raj, Buster Fearless by Nara, Jenny the Jindo by Nara and Dilip.
The bottom shows Buddy the Golden Retriever by Nara, Dr. Watson the Scottie by Sagar, Oscar the Pug by Megh Raj, Buddy by Megh Raj and Bentley the Golden Retreiver by Nara.
The above is by Sagar, Megh Raj and Sufraj (clockwise from top left).
Cosmo is not the only cat on this trip....
I'm making this post short, as we are about to lose electricity here in Kathmandu. Kathmandu is up to 56 hours a week with scheduled power cuts aka 'load-shedding', and many more unscheduled ones as well.
This is what you can expect when you honor your dog (or cat or bunny) with a Nepal Art Dog portrait. The time to order is now over for this trip, but March 2013 is just around the corner, and I will be returning for new orders.
No obligation to buy, but I bet you will not be able to resist!
Orders are now closed for this trip.
If you would like to have your dog (cat, horse, chicken , bunny, etc.) immortalized on metal here in Nepal, please send me a photo at firstname.lastname@example.org. I am here in November, 2012, to order more Danger Dogs and Cats and this trip is now closed, but I will be back in Nepal in March, 2013, and will add your pet to the project.
This hand-painted art form is fast disappearing in Kathmandu, as it already has in most parts of the world. I pay fair trade wages, the artists get to paint again, pet lovers get a choice of three paintings for each commission, and I get to help Nepali artists make a living. Everybody is happy. Rescue dogs from America get to rescue artists from Nepal! Now is the time to order: Be ahead of the Pack!
Orders now accepted for the Spring 2013 trip.
HOW TO ORDER
To order, please send me a photo of your pet. I will give it to three different artists, giving you a choice of 3 paintings and three artists will get work. Each painting is about one square foot and is on metal with synthetic enamel paint. These can be hung indoors or out, be framed or unframed.
While I am in Nepal, your pet will be featured on the Danger Dog Blog, as I stop into the artists' studios and document the works in progress.
Satisfaction is guaranteed as I accept no money up front. If you do not like one of the three, you pay nothing, and the 3 artists are paid in full in any case.
Let me know what you want it to say and that's it!
Send your photo to email@example.com or find out more at www.NepalDog.com.
Let's keep these artists painting.
